To get the prettiest green eyes, work with the colors and tones on your skin and hair. Although there are a number of suggestions here on eye makeup color and application techniques to a make your green eyes sparkle and pop, don't underestimate your own look. Try out different colors and see for yourself what works best for your personal style and the look you're craving.

Take good care of your eyes by removing eye makeup each night, using a daily eye cream with sunscreen, and getting into the routine of using an anti-wrinkle cream each night. Taking care of your eyes and its surrounding delicate tissue will result in more beautiful eyes.

Lighter Hair/Skin
For light reddish or strawberry blonde hair and light skin with green eyes, try eye makeup in light to medium purple shades, teals, tans, taupes, peaches. You may even want to experiment with greys.

Medium
For light to medium skin and auburn or red hair with green eyes, neutral browns, medium to dark purple and plums, gold and copper hues, and darker cocoa and burnt shades may bring out your eyes best.

Dark Hair
For brunettes and dark haired ladies with green eyes, any purples, deep greens, and greys can complement your hair, eye, and skin combination.

You can do wonderfully strategic things with eye shadow and liner to get the look you want for your green eyes.

For A Dramatic Look
There are many ways to achieve a dramatic look - here are a few methods to try.

Use a bold purple-shade of liner and line both the top and bottom portions of the eye. To make the eye appear larger, line only from the center out on both portions. Leave the link thick and bold and dust with a gold-tinted shadow on the upper lid.

Using a teal or green shade of liner, line the top and bottom lids with a very thin line. Blend into a slightly thicker line with a grayish or charcoal colored liner for a smoky effect, and use a peach or peach/pink combination eye shadow.

Using a rich copper, burnt, or brown shade of liner, create a bold sweep of color on the top lid. Smudge a much lighter, but complementary shadow under the eye and use as the contour shade for the upper lid. Finish with a light, neutral shadow all over.

You don't always have to go bold with shadow and liner for green eyes for an incredible look. You can also use eye makeup to achieve a very natural look that makes your eyes stand out subtly. Light colors are typically more natural looking, so depending on your skin, hair, and specific shade of green eyes, you may want to try peaches, pinks, tawny colors, taupes, light coppers, matte golds, and subdued greens and lilacs for a softer, sweeter, and more natural look.

A few other ways to get pretty green eyes without the made-up look:
Using your fingertip, blend a beigy or creamy shadow (up to three shades darker than your skin tone) along the upper and lower lash line. Curl lashes and finish with two coats of mascara one to two shades darker than your natural lashes. This will give a lovely, very natural look that still draws attention to your green eyes.

Dot a coppery eye pencil along the upper eyelid and smudge gently with your fingertip or eyeliner tool. Add a contour with a hint of green shadow, and highlight gently sweep a lighter, but complementary copper shade below the brow bone. Use a cream or white liner on the inner part of the lower lid and a teal or purple based shadow or liner for brighter green eyes.

Mascara for Pretty Green Eyes
Even using mascara alone with green eyes can look stunning. Unless you have dark hair, you may want to stay away from dark black mascara. Opt for those with a copper, purple, or green undertone to draw attention to your gorgeous eyes.
